Dental Implant Calc

Citations & data sourcing

Cost data last verified:

This site doesn't invent numbers. Every cost figure shown, in the calculator or in any page's copy, traces to a published source that's listed either directly on that page or below. This page exists so a journalist, another site, or a reader can verify or cite any figure without digging through page source. For the calculator's own core dataset specifically (single implant, add-ons, full arch, region adjustment), see the methodology page, which explains how those figures are combined, not just where they came from.

How to cite this site

You're welcome to cite any figure or the calculator itself as a resource. A citation that links back to the specific page the number appears on (rather than just the homepage) is the most useful to readers and the easiest for us to keep accurate over time, since it lets us flag you directly if that particular figure is ever revised. This is an independent, ad-free calculator with no lead capture and no paid placements. We aren't affiliated with, sponsored by, or compensated by any dental provider, brand, or insurer named on this site, including ClearChoice.

Sources by page

Grouped by the page each source backs. Some sources appear more than once because more than one page cites them.

Pages that rely only on this site's own model

These two pages don't cite new external sources of their own, they aggregate figures that are already sourced above.

Dental implant prices (price-list reference table)

Every row pulls its range live from implant-cost-data-2026.json (see "How we calculate implant costs" above for that dataset's sources) or links out to the deep-dive page that sources it directly (ClearChoice, snap-in dentures). No new figures are introduced on this page.

Full mouth dental implants cost

The combined-case and per-arch figures both pull live from the same fullArch data already sourced under "How we calculate implant costs" above. No new figures are introduced on this page.

Sources checked and excluded

Part of not inventing precision is being upfront about what didn't make the cut during research, and why:

  • kristalclinic.com. Returned suspiciously precise, unverifiable statistics (e.g. an exact "Reddit satisfaction 3.2/5" figure and specific recommend/switch percentages) that don't appear on any other source and read as fabricated. Excluded from every page during research, flagged twice independently (ClearChoice review and mini-implants pages).
  • RealSelf's widely-quoted "$38,806 average" figure. Could only be traced to search-summary text, not a live, fetchable page (RealSelf returned a 403 on every direct fetch attempt). Not used anywhere on this site.
  • A misattributed "2.7x more likely to fail" same-day implant stat. Shows up in AI search summaries but traces back to a study comparing infected vs. non-infected placement sites, not immediate vs. delayed loading generally. The same-day implants page reports the real, more nuanced finding instead, with the correct PubMed/PMC citations above.

Corrections

If a source linked anywhere on this site has changed its published numbers since we last checked, or you believe a figure is wrong, let us know. All cost data is re-verified on a roughly six-month cadence regardless (see the methodology page), but a direct report gets checked sooner than that. This page and the "last verified" date will be updated whenever a cited figure changes.
